<figure> tag in HTML
The <figure> tag represents a piece of self-contained content that's commonly used to enclose images or graphics, charts, reference tables, poems, code snippets, etc.
Being self-contained means that the image has certain degree of in-dependency from the flow of the document, and its position is relative to the surrounding content doesn't need to be exact.
Images placed next to blocks of text in newspapers constitute good examples of proper use of the tags <figure> and <figcaption>.
